Tristan’s work on food insecurity started in 2016, rooted in lived experience. Growing up, his family knew both sides of the table. There were moments of real blessing and moments when hunger was the reality for him and the community around him. He ran a Toronto chapter of #HashtagLunchBag, an LA-born initiative that puts a homemade lunch and a personal note into the hands of people in need. Thousands fed. Over $250,000 raised in cash and relief items, including emergency donations to Hurricane Dorian survivors in the Bahamas. Table For Us is the formal continuation of that decade of work, with Foodville Festival as its giving engine.
